Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the Lord, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the Lord your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance for your children after you for ever.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

This important part of being able to master your mind involves self-awareness, know-thyself, and be able to adjust to change. I love this scripture which Romans Chapter 12 verses 1 and 2: I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

In order to master your mind, we need a guide that will lead you on the right path, and we cannot do everything the world does. The world does not do the majority of things according to God's word so we must accept the idea that we cannot do it by ourselves, but with God, all things are possible. Matthew Chapter 19 verse 26 says "But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible". To make things clear, when it says all things are possible, it has to aligned with God's word. We cannot master our minds without a teacher who is an example who shows us the way. I read in John chapter 14 verse 5 and 6, Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

When we come to the realization, that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, we can manage our life much better and focus our mind on the things that get us closer to being Christ-like. Philippians chapter 2 verse 5 says Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: When we do have the mind of Christ Jesus, In Matthew Chapter 22 verse 37 and 38 says Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.  This is the first and great commandment.

In Mark chapter 12 verse 31 says  And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.

We need not be selfish when it comes to how we treat people. This also is a way to master the mind when learning to prioritize the important things. When our mindset is right, it makes us mindful that we are not to forsake the assembling ourselves together to worship God. Hebrews Chapter 10 verse 25 says Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. I like verse 24 which says And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: When our mindset is different we will consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. What a marvelous way to live to keep mastering our minds is to follow what the Bible says in John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

The Bible is the standard and guide for our lives. The Bible has an acronym which is Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. No other book can lead to us where we need to be and give us the necessary tools to Master The Mind. In 2 Peter Chapter 1 verse 3 says According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

We must not let the devil blind our minds and disrupt our good behavior. Master The Mind means this which was written in I Peter Chapter 5 verse 8. It says Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

We need to be careful as it is written in the Bible that God has his ministers and the devil also has his ministers. In 2 Corinthians verses, 13 through 15 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

In Galatians Chapter 1 verses 6 through 12 says I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Mastering The Mind also lets us know that we will learn how to discern truth from error. From the scriptures, we see that God has his ministers and Satan also has his ministers. Just because you hear a man on Sunday morning preaching does not mean he is a minister of God. You will know this if what he is preaching is aligned with the Bible. We as the Bible Church will often say give us Book, Chapter, and Verse.

I wrote this to humbly beseech you that search the scriptures. Acts Chapter 17 verse 11 says These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

To be on the path in order to grow in mastering the mind, you must:

Hear the Gospel: Acts Chapter 15 verse 7 says And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.

Believe The Gospel: Mark Chapter 1 verse 14and 15 says Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

Repent of your Sins: Luke Chapter 13 verse 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Confess that Jesus is the Christ, The Son of the Living God: Matthew Chapter 10 verse 32 says Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Baptized for the Remission of your Sins: Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

This is the way the Bible Church did things scripturally. No one can just believe and be saved. There is no such thing as being saved by faith only. James Chapter 2 verse 24 says Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

There is no such thing as baptizing Sunday. The Bible Church baptized any hour of any day or night. Acts Chapter 16 verses 32 and 33 says And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

The Preacher was never called reverend. God's name is reverend. Psalms Chapter 111 verse 9 says He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.

The Communion in the Bible was taken every Sunday. Acts Chapter 20 verse 7 says And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

I humbly hope that my readers will walk away with knowledge as in relation to what is being taught in the religious world today. My goal is to open some eyes of people just like on that day my eyes were open to the truth.
