I wanted to discuss the topic of love.

First, we must not confuse love with another word that starts with L which is lust. We must not have lust enter our minds because it can cause a world of trouble.

Matthew 5:28 - But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Galatians 5:16 - [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

1 John 2:15-17 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world-the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

I Corinthians 13:4-7 New English Translation says

Love is patient, love is kind, it is not envious. Love does not brag, it is not puffed up. It is not rude, it is not self-serving, it is not easily angered or resentful. It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love requires patience and a strong will, and most of all, God has to be the center of what impacts your thoughts and actions. True love will show in how you deal with things in your life, good or bad. Love has the power to forgive and forget. Love is unconditional and strives harder to be better than it was the day before. Love is not physical only, it impacts the mind also.

Let us look at some scriptures that show love toward humanity.

I John 4:7-11 says Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Also in John 3:16, the Bible says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We must recognize the love that God has for us and we must reciprocate that love back to God and to all people.

John 3:16 says For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Also in John 13:34-35 says A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Love is the main goal that the bible teaches. We must put away hate, jealousy, strife, envy, vainglory, and backbiting.

I like to leave this scripture from the Bible.

In 2 Corinthians 13:8, it says

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
