"Where is the Justice"

Where is the justice for all the black lives that were snuffed out in the middle of our streets?

Through the family long lives, the vision that the victim had as the heart still beats,

From city to city and state to state, black men and women came together to propagate,

We protest black lives matter peacefully and with police present, we learn to not exasperate.

All we want is justice for the black lives lost and the involved officers held accountable will suffice,

We stand up for Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Breonna Taylor, Michael Brown, and Tamir Rice.

All we want is black on black crime to cease, and pray that these days grow lighter than getting darker.

We want justice for Jamar Clark, Philando Castile, Stephon Clark, Alonzo Smith, and Dante Parker.

We must vote to end systemic racism and let them in the political arena that we are taking a stand,

When we do not vote, there is no justice no peace for Tyree Crawford, Bettie Jones, Demarco Taylor, and George Mann,

We have lost so many more lives that are not listed here but they will never escape out of the mind,

Of each of us that will remember this time in history when peace and justice is what we seek to find.

All we want is to enjoy our freedom and provide a better life for our kids and their kids is our plea,

What is left is just memories of the families who lost loved ones, a bed that will remain empty,

The chair that they sat on every morning when breakfast and dinner was served with love.

I wonder what the good Lord is saying about our behavior as He looks down on us from above.

We must never forget these names and the many more who died so let us vote that their death will not be in vain.

To change our world these names we will always remember by the #Say Their Names campaign,

This campaign was started to focus on their individual humanity and not to identify each victim.

We want to bring to light the police brutality in The United States in an already untrained police system.
